A course you download · not a login
Grow real food in your first ninety days.
One 4×8 bed, twelve weekly field guides, and the honest version of what happens in between. Written on a homestead in the Gila Valley, Arizona — every photograph in it is from that ground.
What you actually get
One file, not a login
You get a single file. Double-click it and the whole course opens in the browser you already have — pictures and all. Nothing to unzip, nothing to install, no account, no password, nothing to renew.
It works with the wifi off
Every page, photograph, worksheet and calculator runs on your own machine. Read it standing in the garden with no signal.
Twelve weekly guides
Week 0 locks the scope. Weeks 1–12 each have the same seven parts: the job, what the bed should look like, the actions, your climate’s differences, what to do when it goes wrong, the worksheet.
A reference shelf
Twenty crop dossiers, fourteen printable trouble cards, soil and water, harvest and put-away. Opened when a week sends you there, not dumped on you at the start.
Worksheets that keep your answers
They save on your computer as you type. Export the whole field book to a file to move it or back it up. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Four offline calculators
Soil volume, plant spacing, a season planner off your own frost dates, and a harvest log that totals the year.

Three climate tracks, because there is no national planting date
Most garden courses are written for somewhere gentle and leave everyone else guessing. This one makes you pick a track in Week 0 — cool, warm, or heat — and every week afterwards tells you what your track does differently. If you bought this in a Phoenix June, there is a track that says so.
A folder on your computer cannot know your frost dates, and this course refuses to invent them. So Week 0 sends you to Plotline’s free tools to get the two dates for your own ZIP — and the whole course then runs off those two numbers, offline.
You can finish all twelve weeks on Plotline’s free tier, and the course says so in writing.
What it refuses to sell you
Self-sufficiency in ninety days. Chickens. An orchard. Forty tomato varieties. Mindset and morning routines. A bonus module to make this page look longer. Every one of those is how a first garden quietly becomes a project you abandon in July.
See it before you pay
The whole of Week 0 is free to read, in the real course, with nothing stripped out. If it is not for you, you will know in four minutes.
Honest limits
- There is no video. The format is text, photographs and worksheets, on purpose.
- It assumes one bed roughly 4×8, or containers adding up to about the same.
- It will not teach you canning procedure. It says why, and points you at freezing.
- Your worksheet answers live in the browser you use. The course warns you in a red banner if that browser is not saving them — it will not quietly lose your work.
